4. Mikkeller Bar Barcelona

Here 24 taps, with fresh beers shipped from Mikkeller themselves, keep fans hydrated in a hip space which has a bold orange and blue palette. Its menu is inspired by rustic Catalan cooking, and should assist in keeping some of the stronger beers from going to your head. Expect to find oddities like Spontanpeach and 1000 IPA, as well as selections from Mikkeller friends To Øl, Omnipollo or Warpigs.

The odd name means 'cold basement’ in Danish and the tiny bar was founded upon a desire to bring the spirit of Denmark to La Rambla. One of the city’s most well-established craft beer bars, not only does Kælderkold boast 15 taps, this bar just off Barcelona’s most famous street was a pioneer in creating a menu of beer cocktails.
