promoted to the rest of the world. XTVT App makes it possible for us and
tourists to find the hidden gems in Malaysia by showcasing and guiding
travellers to what Malaysia has to offer from a local perspective. Let’s Discover

The launch was
officiated by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, YB
Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar bin Wan Chik at Sunway Putra Mall, Kuala Lumpur together
with Abdul Muizz Muhammad Khuzaini, XTVT CEO and BackPackerz CEO.
During the launch, a video showcasing the XTVT app features was played to demonstrate its usefulness
and ease of navigation. Viewers were introduced to the 12 categories of
activities to choose from in the app, its capabilities of navigating users to
the nearest tourist hotspots with reference to the map, and its booking feature
in collaboration with affiliate partners.

XTVT Race: Discover
KL Like A Local
In accordance to XTVT
App launch, XTVT with Backpackerz magazine has organized the XTVT Race 2019
with the theme “Discover KL Like a Local”. 21 teams, each divided by a
group of three with a total of 63 participants competed in the race which took
them on a whirlwind tour around Kuala Lumpur to complete riddles and pick up
clues at tourist attractions around the city, made possible using the KL
Hope-On Hop-Off Bus.

Based on the answers
of the riddles and clues, the contestants will have to travel to specific
locations and complete tasks and take photos as proof of completion. This proof
will serve as points for contestants giving the correct answers to the riddles.
The most points and
fastest team will win the XTVT Race. Prizes range from trips on cruise ships,
stay's at Pulau Tioman, travel apparels and cash! Congrats to the Grand Prize
Winners and all the participants who successful completed the XTVT Race 2019.

XTVT was created in
December 2018 when the people at CiEdge Adventure found that the tourists who
came to Malaysia are only aware of the main attractions in the city such as
KLCC, Batu Caves and KL tower. There are more to Malaysia than the heavily
promoted main attractions. XTVT wants to bridge this gap between tourist and
the lesser-known but wonderful attractions we have in this beautiful country while
also helping the Malaysian Tourism economy to grow.

XTVT is gaining
interest from key players in the tourism industry that range from government, corporate,
and social agencies. This is due to XTVT’s full support of Visit Malaysia 2020
campaign and its goal of achieving 30 million international tourists’ arrival and
RM100 billion tourist receipts with a focus on ecotourism, arts and culture.
