Petronas Deepavali 2012: Be the Light, A Celebration of Culture and Tradition

Wishing each and everyone Happy Deepavali and Happy Holiday! Deepavali or Diwali is the Festival of Lights which dispels the darkness of our ignorance; it is a festival of the light which shows us the way on our journey through life. A candle may burns out. But, the candle of a still mind and the fireworks of a heart filled are divine and eternal; these are what we should be celebrating.

Let’s us celebrate together with happiness, peace and lights. I am planning how many open houses I am going to visit this Deepavali. I miss my lecturer’s so will give her a call and perhaps visit her house because her home cooked lamb curry, apam and muruku is the best. How about you? Going to any Deepavali open house or visiting?

Interested to understand and experience more about the Deepavali traditions, the PETRONAS ‘Be The Light – A Celebration of Culture and Tradition’ exhibition is now on at Galeri PETRONAS, Level 3, Suria KLCC.

PETRONAS 'Be The Light' Exhibition Is Now On

Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Indian community, the exhibition also showcases workshops and activities that members of the public can participate in from 8^th Nov till 25^th Nov 2012. There are workshops and activities such as Henna Drawing, Classical Indian Dance, The Art of Kollam, The Purity of Oil and also The Art of Wearing Indian Costumes.
