Diptyque Scented Candle Baies, Patchouli and Baies Noire

Crazy for scented candles?
this is one of them that i love …

Sublime substances, a simple presentation and the elegant black and white writings
and drawings give diptyque its distinctive signature.

1963 saw wax and perfume blend for the first time when diptyque introduced its first set of three scented candles, Aubépine, Thé, Cannelle (Hawthorne, Tea, Cinnamon). Its know-how is unique, entirely manual, and each of then in steps of production are carefully studied to result in excellence. We carefully select our mineral and plant waxes.

Diptyque’s iconic les amis tell the tale their own way:
by Karl Lagerfeld

Eureka moment: I found Diptyque on Boulevard Saint-Germain in the year 1960 when it was a shop that still made art deco. Someone recommended to me this shop held by two charming gentlemen, and when I went to see an art deco object, I discovered the candles there.

Favorite candles: The perfumes I prefer are those of the candles Pomander, Heliotrope and Cannelle.

Scent sensibility: I like these products and I feel inspired by these odors.

Baies
In fruity scent. Closely related to the eau de toilette L’Ombre dans l’Eau, it expresses the irresistible freshness of a bouquet of roses, sweetened with blackcurrant leaves.

Patchouli
In herbal scent. Mysterious and ambiguous, it recalls the scent of wood on
Indonesian hills.

 Baies Noire
Giant Scented Indoor and Outdoor Candle
In fruity scent. A host of roses and blackcurrant leaves, recreating the freshness
and grace of an English garden. A recollection of the favourite
eaux de toilette by diptyque, L’Ombre dans l’Eau.

Diptyque teamed up with Virebent, a well-known porcelain manufacturer established in Lot, France in 1924, to make its “indoor and outdoor” scented candle. They chose earthenware for its rustic touch and hand-crafted look and because it embodies and brings to life the brand’s emblematic oval. This diptyque candle is made exclusively by hand, and takes no fewer than nine distinct stages.

The giant candles are presented in a hat box, fastened with a chic ribbon. These scented candles owe their accurately rendered aromas to the very source of the main ingredient: Figuier, Jasmin, Feu de Bois, Baies.

The Ritual:
diptyque has nurtured its own ritual to unleash the scents of its candles: The wax is tapped from the glass on a cushion to release the fragrance. That is how to catch a glimpse of the fragrance that the candle will set free once you light it.

Precautions & Instructions:
Here are a few tips to enjoy your scented candle safely, for a long time, without altering its quality (this candle will burn for approximately 60 hours):

• Let it burn for at least one hour to let the wicks soak up the paraffin and burn properly. Doing this will form a homogeneous melting pool and avoid the wax hollowing out later on.
• Regularly re-centre and trim the wicks with special wick-trimmer once you blow them out.
