A Roaring 20’s Evening: Toast to Absolut Elyx Launch by Pernod Ricard Malaysia and View Rooftop Bar’s First Anniversary at GTower, Kuala Lumpur

It was a glitz and glamour evening reminiscent of the roaring and audacious 1920s. An evening of double celebration and toast to successful Launch of Absolut Elyx and View Rooftop Bar’s First Anniversary, at GTower, Kuala Lumpur.

Such a beautiful view from here on a breezy evening…

through the vodka tasting experience

Follow the five ‘S’ steps to tasting a vodka: see, swirl, sniff, sip and savour. Absolut Elyx is smooth and lingering finish, tantalizing spicy undertones and its invigorating floral and fruity bouquet. The very best way to enjoy it, however, is to drink it pure over a single, slowly melting ice cube.

After that we were ushered to the View Rooftop Bar on the 29th floor of GTower. We have to whisper the password ‘Elyx’ to access to this party. Most of the guests were well dressed in roaring and speakeasy 20’s style. Whereby, women in their fabulous roaring twenties with pearls, cloche hats, feathers and packed with elegance. And the gentlemen looking suave and smooth in blazers, suspenders, fedoras and ties.

Absolut Elyx, the Swedish vodka house's latest copper-toned beauty, is an ode to traditional spirit-making techniques. The bottle is stylishly square reinterpretation of Absolut's famous bottle design, is an immediate visual reference to the lovingly hand-operated distillation of this new premium ambrosia.

“Aroma and flavour are the obvious and most immediately striking characteristics of vodka. ABSOLUT ELYX goes beyond that. It has a clean and fresh taste with subtle floral and fruity tones, but its most defining quality lies in the texture. Not detectable by the nose or taste buds, texture determines how the vodka feels in your mouth. ABSOLUT ELYX is elegant and incredibly soft, and leaves you with a silky feeling in your mouth. Try it on its own, and your mouth will know the difference,” said Terence Ong, Sales and Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Malaysia.

100% Hand-selected Estate Wheat
Absolut Elyx is distilled exclusively from hand-selected wheat from Råbelöf, a neighbouring estate with a flawless instinct for quality.

Pristine Water Filtrated by Nature
The water quality is absolutely essential in vodka production. The Absolut distillery rests on its own pristine natural underground springs. Filtered through the boulder ridge and limestone bedrock for thousands of years, this water has never been exposed to modern day pollution.

Perfected with Copper Catalysation
Throughout the process, copper plays an integral part in the making of Absolut Elyx. Its unique character is obtained from the vintage rectification still, with columns, pumps and hand-forged pipes all in copper.

Authentic Craftsmanship
Absolut Elyx is handcrafted in small volumes, according to the best craft techniques.

The sumptuous vocals of Junji Delfino kicked things off at the majestic enclave of hidden delights and glittering lights View Rooftop Bar had become. The entertainer was accompanied by NuSoundHoundz and DJ Blastique and together they played a wonderfully eclectic mix of evergreen tunes creatively combined with electro beats and deejay mixing on stage.
