A Tastefully Different Ramadan Buffet @ MITEC

Recently we had a scrumptious and Tastefully Different Buka Puasa Experience at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). A spread of remarkable traditional dishes at its finest and home-cooked delicacies to satisfy our cravings and taste buds.

The venue @mySpace2 at MITEC is spacious and the ambience there is cozy with food stalls setup and varieties of buffet spread displays to select and savour the Tastefully Different @ MITEC Ramadan delights consists of traditional and contemporary favourites to suit everyone.

MITEC’s ‘Tastefully Different’ menu highlights their Chef’s signature dishes such as the Bamia Lamb, Braised Beef Curry (Gulai Kawah), Butter Prawns, Chilli Crab, Stir Fried ‘kam heong’ Clams, Fish Head Curry, Lobsters Curry and much more. There are different types of rice such as Bukhari Rice, Biryani Rice and white rice to go with the dishes. 

The highlights: Roast Lamb with Oriental Rice

The chef’s signature dishes also showcase dishes from the West such as the spiced roast lamb with oriental rice.

Assorted traditional Malay ulam and sambal

In addition to mother’s home-cooked menu, granny’s heritage salads such as daun selom, ulam raja, kacang botor, petai, daun pegaga, jering terung pipit, jantung pisang, pucuk ubi, tenggek burung and daun gajus are appetising and appealing.

The highlights: Mamak ox-tail soup

Not to forget the grilled dishes which are one of the guests’ favourite such as the grill fish with soul enriching sambal and daily stews like chicken soto as well as mamak ox-tail soup which will be available as an additional choice to the menu lineup.

Diners will also have a choice to experience dishes from the ‘Chef Recipe Station’ where all time local delights such as curry mee, Johor Laksa and Penang char kuey teow. 

The highlights: Rendang Tok

Plus there are also chicken and beef satay as well as the staple of all Hari Raya gatherings, including rendang tok, chicken and beef serunding complete with nasi impit, ketupat and lemang. A Ramadhan feast would not be complete without mouth-watering desserts and local Malay kuih for a sweet indulgence together with various selections of Raya cookies.

The buffet opens daily from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm excluding Saturdays and Sundays starting from 28 May until 8 June, 2018. The menu is priced at RM100.00++ per person. Half price for senior citizen aged 60 and above and child aged 7 to 12. Free for child aged 6 and below.

MITEC is strategically located in Dutamas within an urban city, provides up to 1,580 parking lots including designated parking spaces for the disabled with lift facility, providing great accessibility without the need to walk a distance to the spacious and comfortable banquet hall.

Apart from the excellent location, MITEC also has a designated prayer room, prayer mats, sandals and on-site ablution facility for them to perform their Maghrib, Isya’ and Tarawih prayers, allowing guests to comfortably perform their religious duties before breaking fast.
