Antabax and Giant Malaysia bring back the popular Give Hope, Receive Good Health charity fundraising campaign in support of the Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO). The campaign runs from 1st Oct to 30th Nov 2013; whereby 10% of sales from the entire Antabax antibacterial personal care range from any of the 129 Giant outlets nationwide channeled to WAO in support of its Refuge and Child Care Centre. Antabax’s Brand Ambassador, singer and actress Ziana Zain was at Giant Kota Damansara to grace the event.

WAO - founded in 1982, aims to create a society that is free of violence against women. It provides emotional, social and material support for women who have been abused; strengthens the capacity of women that have been abused to manage themselves by providing temporary refuge services; and creates awareness on issues of violence against women.

In 2011, the joint charitable fundraising campaign by Antabax and Giant raised RM21,955 for Rumah Ilham and Rumah KIDS, while 2012’s campaign contributed RM20,953 to the Breast Cancer Welfare Assocaition Malaysia (BCWA). Selected Giant outlets were also used as venues for the organization to spread awareness on breast cancer, at no charge.

WAO spends up to RM1.2million every year on its programmes in support of women. WAO through our Refuge and Child Care Centre, offers an important service for women and children who need refuge, counseling, training, support and assistance, as they break free of cycles of violence.

Currently, The Refuge and Child Care Centre provides shelter and protection to an average of 100 women and 120 children every year. The refuge centre occupies a space of approximately 12,000 square feet, and has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a kitchen, an administration office and a store room. To find out more about the Give Hope, Receive Health community care campaign please visit Antabax Facebook Page
