Recently, Mission Foods launched it’s new Corn Strips at Rumah Tangsi Kuala Lumpur. According to Constantino Flores, Vice President of Operations, Mission Foods Asia, the new shape and flavors in this new range of Com Strips introduces a different way of snacking altogether.

The new Corn Strips still retain their signature light yet crunchy texture and are preferred by many as they contain 30% less oil than potato chips and are made from 100% real corn. In addition, they are free from preservatives and artificial colors.

My favorite is the Spicy Szechuan Seafood is the spiciest among the 3 flavors. Mala is all the rage now and if you love mala as much as I do, then this is your thing. The strips are perfectly coated with the picante combination of hot Szechuan peppercorns, chilli pepper, seafood and a fiery mix of other tongue numbing spices. Take your time and enjoy the layers of flavours and textures.

As for the new Mission Peri Peri Corn Strips hum of citrus and lime, with a light smokiness that keeps you reaching for more. Peri Peri is moderate hot and most Malaysians like it because it has the hint of chillilicious tangy heat, and each strip coated with this addictive flavour packs a punch.

And it was a music homie style that framed the launch of the new Mission Corn Strips. The brand launched the #RipStripSkiptheDip campaign featuring famous rappers Sophia Liana (from De Fam), Juzzthin, and Loca 8, hosted by well-known rapper Hunny Madu. The three rappers battled the bars at the launch with each waxing lyrical on each flavor.

Sophia from De Fam started the battle with her take on the Szechuan Spice flavored Corn Strips. ”Spicy Szechuan gon' turn the heat up with the media. When I got it you guys be like ”Better call Sophia”. Put your tastebuds on a joyride. So tasty, it makes your mouth open wide. The combination of both might just trigger your pulse.”

Loca B ended the rap battle with a lyrical tirade on Tom Yum; "Tom Yum Brings That Heat, And It’s Spicin’ Up This Beat. My Mama Getting Mad = Lotsa Chips In One Receipt!” she rapped, bringing the house down.
