July, 2018 at Aman Central, Alor Setar. The theme for this year is MODESTYLE to
promote modesty in our modern lifestyle. The 3-day fashion bonanza bridging
together designers and fashion influencers, eminent of the fashion industry and
special guest artists. See you all in Kedah!

Kedah Fashion Week
is an annual city-wide celebration of fashion, trend and couture, a state level
fashion runway held since 2016. Enhancing it up are masterpieces from the
mall’s distinguished tenants, and renowned local and international designers
that show how involved Kedah is in the fashion world. The line-up for the
official tenants include UNIQLO, Parkson, Pandora, Carlo Rino, Cosas United,
Hush Puppies and Obermain.

Combining trends
with faith and modesty, the designers will be exploring looks that fusion
between floaty and elegant, traditional yet trendy, and vibrant hijab-friendly
casual urban wear, making it an intriguing runway experience.
To recognize this
year as the 3rd year of this highly celebrated event, Aman Central is excited
to introduce two awards; (1) The Best Fashion Presentation Award 2018 and (2)
Best Fashion Collection Award 2018 for the designers showcasing in KFW. The
award winners can rest assure that they truly deserve the award and will
receive special recognition.
The crème de la
crème of KFW are the guest artists that will be entertaining the audience every
night. Special appearances will be made by award winning Noryn Aziz to serenade
guests on the Gala Night, Best Vocalist of Anugerah Juara Lagu-32 (AJL), Ernie
Zakri on the ‘Night Out’, and on the grand finalé with the winner of AJL-32,
Hael Husaini.
You will also get
the opportunity to meet and greet with two beauty pageant titleholders, Debra
Jeanne Poh (crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2018) and Scarlett Megan Liew (crowned
Miss Intercontinental Malaysia 2018) every night.

Friday, 6th July
Carlo Rino will
take the lead to showcase full set of shoes and handbags. The opening night is
a million dollar fashion show that holds no bar in showcasing the exclusive
collections from international designers including Merlin Yuwita, Fara Mas, and
renowned Malaysian designers, Calvin Thoo and Bill Keith. Come and get
serenaded by award-winning jazz singer, Noryn Aziz’s musical performance.
Saturday, 7th July
The fashion parade
will be kicked off by Hush Puppies, Obermain and Cosas United. Pandora and
Cindai Mahsuri collections make a fun and trendy fashion combo that will set an
inspiration to your wardrobe. Get mesmerized by the local designers’ handmade
elegant gowns and designs from Madou, Tuhfah, Yans Creation and Hafiz Carson. Get
blown away by special appearance and performance by Ernie Zakri, Best Vocalist
of Anugerah Juara Lagu 32
Sunday, 8th July
Parkson will take
the central stage to showcase their latest ready-to-wear designs and handbags. On
the night of the grand finale, get mesmerized by the meticulous designs of our
renowned local designers’ brand, Seth&Luna, Amazé, Lidya Couture and Hasfitri
Yusof. Enjoy the finale of the fashion show with an exclusive performance by
Hael Husaini, Winner of Anugerah Juara Lagu 32.

Day 1
- Merlin Yuwita:
Graduating from Lim Kok Wing University, Merlin Yuwita has 14 years’ experience
in the fashion industry and has even broaden her wings to Jakarta to open up
Merlin Yu Couture Indonesia.
- Faranak
Masihpour: Iranian beauty who started her fashion brand in 2010 in Malaysia and
2016 in Germany, FARAMAS Exclusive Fashion is well received by clients from all
walks of life, especially for the trendy fashion-forward ladies who choose both
elegance and comfortability.
- Calvin Thoo:
Kuala Lumpur born designer who graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of
Technology (RMIT) with a BA (Fashion). His designs specializes more in modern
and traditional occasion wear.
- Bill Keith:
Currently heading the Asian Designers Guild, Bill is known for bagging plenty
of Fashion Awards including Moet Chandon, Tribute to Fashion Award, 2017
Mercedes Benz Style Best Designer Showcase Award and more.
Day 2
- Yusuf Salleh: A
member of Young Designers Association (YODA) and proud owner of Madou, his
collections are created with custom garment designs tailored specifically for
his clients.
- Elurun Rashid:
Recently winning first place for a reality TV contest by Lazada &
#MyLazadaStyle, Elurun has showcased her brand, Tuhfah at many prestigious
fashion events such as Malaysia Fashion Week (2016), London Modest Fashion Week
(2017) and more. Her brand defines bonafide urbanite.
- Yani Bakhtiar:
Known for her brand Yans Creation established in 1989, Yani Bakhtiar is
visionary, innovating and a true grit fashionpreneur with 25 years’ experience.
She focuses on designs that are simple, elegant and comfortable.
- Hafiz Carson:
Born and raised in Kuching, Sarawak, he discovered his passion for fashion
while being on the move as a steward. Carlson Kuala Lumpur, his renowned
product fusions the perfect amount of modern and tradition.
Day 3
- Irie Mohamad
& Jimiey Whang: Better known as the Malaysian demicouture duo
‘SETH&LUNA’, they embrace the idea of a modern, bold and statement making
fashion. They recently won second place for reality TV-contest, Gen F.
- Amar Madfie &
Zeed Jamel: The designer duo graduated from UiTM Shah Alam and established
their brand Amazé, a combination of their names, which signifies feminine and
elegance. Their biggest exposure in 2018 was in AJL-32 when Ernie Zakri donned
Amazé bespoke ball gown for her performance in Aku Cinta, duet number with
Syamel.
- Wan Anas Lidya
Harun: born in Penang and raised in Kedah, she owns a distinguished label
called Lidya Couture focusing on modest fashion. Her goal is to create designs
that are unique and incorporate them into classic modest fashion.
- Hasfitri Yusof:
Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, an active member of MATRADE and Bumiputra’s Designer
Association, Hasfitri is a fabulous couturier known for his bespoke creation
varying from Islamic fashion to dazzling dinner wear to silky batik.
