Mantecato di merluzzo e cavolfiori con chips di baccala is creamed cod and cauliflower mash and crispy salted cod chips. If you eat it alone it might taste slightly salty (suppose to be like that) but if spread it with the fresh bread paired it with Albizzia Chardonay di Toscana IGT 2010 the mild saltiness and moist of the mash will brings out this Chardonay, perfect to start the dinner.

There are two types, the first is Millefoglie di salmone e barbabietola affumicati al rosmarino, salsa cenere e panna acida. Rosemary smoked salmon and beetroot mille foille, ash sauce and sour cream. I wish to swap the ash sauce and sour cream to foie gras butter.

Burrata and extra virgin olive oil mousse, Mediterranean vegetables and raw tuna salsa

The second, Mousse di burrata all’olio ex. Vergine d oliva con crudaiola di tonno alla mediterranea. Which is Burrata and extra virgin olive oil mousse, Mediterranean vegetables and raw tuna salsa. Both paired with Pomino Bianco (Chardonnay & Pinot Bianco) 2011.

Ravioli di patate e mascarpone alla ‘gricia’ con prosciutto stagionato di manzo croccante. Potato and mascarpone ravioli with light pepper goat cheese fondue and crispy cured beef ham.

You can’t go wrong with ravioli if the stuffing is fresh and goat cheese strong taste excellent well with Tenuta di Castiglioni IGT 2009.

Tagliata di scamone d’agnello marinato, purea di zucca al timo, asparagi saltati e fondo agli agrumi. It’s pan roast lamb rump with thyme pumpkin puree and sautéed asparagus and citrus glazed lamb jus. This is what I am looking for… satisfied my appetite. The tender and fragrant roast land combine with thyme pumpkin puree with a sip of Castelgiocond Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2005.

Tortina di sable e crema cotta al limone, mousse di semifreddo allo yogurt. This is small pears and custard cream sable pie with frozen yogurt mousse. The sweet pie just heavenly when it touches Illyquore coffee Liqueur.

Illyquore coffee Liqueur

100% Arabica and contains 28% alcohol. Great its Illy, my favourite coffee but this coffee liqueur is something more than coffee. It gives more kick and more umpphhh… it’s a celebration for coffee lovers like me.

This special five-course set menu with Frescobaldi wine pairing is only available for dinner from 4 to 31 Oct 2013; priced at RM220++ per person. Have a celebration of great food and fine wines.

Villa Danieli, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Villa Danieli is open for lunch from 12 noon to 2.30pm from Mondays to Fridays, while dinner is served from 6.30pm to 10.30pm from Mondays to Saturdays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
