Review: SK-II Cellumination Essence EX and SK-II Pitera Set. My Skin Transformation Experience

 Have you try 5Ds skin analysis before? Some of you may have tried or many times or not even once. If you have not try, you may go to SK-II counter to check your skin conditions by doing the 5D skin analysis.



My experience…
Last month I did my 5D skin analysis at SK-II Robinsons counter, The Gardens Mall. It was a Sunday morning, I was feeling a little sleeping and tired from Saturday late nite outing, movie and supper with friends.



Upon arrival at SK-II, I was greeted by Ms. Maggie Wee the bubbly and friendly SK-II beauty consultant. Her warm smiles make me feel at ease. After I completed my 5Ds skin analysis, Maggie introduced or recommended me the products that suitable for my skin conditions, followed by the steps on how to use them and did a demo on my hand using the products she recommended.




I can see the difference on my hand after the demo. Overall, I have a pleasant time, understanding my skin conditions, update my knowledge about the latest SK-II products and learning new things.   



The 5Ds Skin Analysis mainly focus on 5 major points of our skin conditions, such as Texture, Radiance, Firmness, Spot Control and Wrinkles Resilience. If you scored 5D, bingo! means you achieve 5 distinction so you have perfect skin. 





Guess what? After going through my 5D skin analysis with Maggie I only scored 1D which is wrinkle resilience. This means my skin wrinkle conditions are under control or at a good level. BUT the other 4D are not that good. Is my skin condition that bad? I only scored 1D. Hmmm… so it is time to start taking care and improve it. Hopefully the next time I do my 5Ds skin analysis again I can see improvements and scored more Ds…


I got this for myself
Pitera Essence Set / Trial Kit consists of:-
Facial Treatment Essence, 75ml
Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, 40ml
Facial Treatment Mask, 1 piece

Cellumination Essence EX, 30ml


Facial Treatment Clear Lotion
Containing AHA, this wipe off clarifying lotion gently removes dirt and dead skin cells to allow skin nourishments.
Directions: After cleansing, soak a cotton pad with lotion and gently wipe over T-zone, followed by U-zone and neck. Avoid eye areas



Facial Treatment Essence
Containing more than 90% Pitera, this much loved “miracle water” for healthy and radiant skin. This is the star product of SK-II
Direction: Use twice daily, morning and night. After cleansing, gently pat face and neck using a cotton pad soak with Facial Treatment Essence. Can even use it on the eye areas.


Cellumination Essence EX
The latest SK-II beauty essence, only this new Cellumination Essence EX is enhanced with concentrated Pitera, De-Melano P3C, Talapewhite and new Pixel White whitening ingredient to improve the micro texture unevenness on the skin.   
Direction: After cleansing, toning and condition skin with Facial Treatment Essence, then spread a pearl size drop of Cellumination Essence EX on the whole face and massage.

Facial Treatment Mask
My favorite mask, this is an intensive moisture boosting mask is enriched with Pitera deeply hydrate skin. Reviving and relaxing, it leaves skin noticeably radiant, soft and crystal clear.
Direction: Place mask over eye area first then gently spread over face and pat firm. Remove mask after about 20 minutes. Can use day or night time.



Review: My skin transformation…
After the first time I use these product according to the steps, immediately my skin feels softer and cleaner. The Facial Treatment Clear Lotion even it contains AHA it does not cause any irritation to my skin. Facial Treatment Essence have slightly sourish smell (it’s the Pitera), after a few times I get used to it. I love the Facial Treatment Mask. No matter how tired I look but after I remove the mask my face look fresh, moist and radiant. The latest Cellumination Essence EX is concentrated with whitening ingredients and thanks to the dropper I can use at the consistent amount. The texture is very fine and fast absorb into my skin.

After I used the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, Facial Treatment Essence, Cellumination Essence EX consistently at the right amount day and night for 14 days I definitely can see the improvements on my skin.

One touch, my skin feels smoother and softer. Now, my skin looks brighter and more radiance. The dark spot on my cheek look less visible. Dull and tired skin never appears or happens again, skin tone became more even.

  5. Been using skII pitera set plus its moisturizer for 3 month daily regime. It does not improve my facial condition. Even my pimple break out more..

    I did my skin analysed at SKii counter n i had 3D result. but i dont look radiant n no one even noticed any changes. even i didnt notice any changes.

    But, i will still continue using it as my daily regime. I hope i get better changes on my skin soon.

  6. hi miss sunshine.. can u tell me the exact daily regime that u apply day n nite? wud really apreciate it if u can share me the tips..

    I'v been using it accordingly as recommended by the SA, but when i ask them abt my pimple problem, the SA told me that FTE does not help to cure or prevent pimple :(

    1. Hi Choy, try to pour the pitera essence on the cotton pad (about 50 cents old coin size). then wipe using upward motion.

    n mis anonymous-iv an oily skin type.. can u suggest me day cream+sunblock + foundation brand that usualy suits u?
    am currently using 1- skii lotion 2 fte 3 estee lauder pore refiner 4 skii moisturizer 5. olay day cream spf15 6. compact powder.. my face felt so oily.. i think because of the olay day cream.. any other suggestion?

    btw- skii is quite xpensive. other reliable brand for sunblock or day cream?

    1. Hi, I am using Swiss Line Cell Shock Day Emulsion and Lancome UV Expert SPF50 sunblock.

      If your skin is oily perhaps you can use Day Emulsion or Gel Form as your Day Moisturizer because they are lighter than cream base moisturizer.

    2. hi Anonymous.For moisturizer i`m using DR.Murad brand.Skin Perfecting Lotion and sunblock also using the same brand.This lotion is quite ok for my skin.I have using this Dr.Murad for few year.Only last two mth i start using Sk2.I will slowly change my skincare product from Dr.Murad to SK2.
      Yup,Sk2 product quite expensive than other brand.I bought trial set for Sk2.more cheaper !..haha...

    n i cud not trace any slight improvement on my face :(

    am currently having cellumination essence on my next "things to buy" list. an it will cost me rm499.

    maybe after i buy the cellumination, then i will have Whitening Spot Specialist on my next "things to buy".

    May i know your skin still have pimple breakout? As my experience ,if skin have breakout,we TOTALLY cannot apply any whitening product.Because whitening product have very active ingredient..if apply just will make more breakout.SK2 beautician and my facial salon beautician also advise not to do that.I also not dare to apply after few years ago had tried b4...

  17. I like SK-II. Using it for few years. The result is obvious. Although a bit expensive. Recently I get it from online store, http://www.dedandelion.com, it much more cheaper, and it's original. Really big thanks to SK-II ^^ I will continue using SK-II as long as I afford ^^
