What an absolute honor it was to attend the Grand Opening of the Evita Mairesse Boutique at Heritage House in Kuala Lumpur! For five years, this renowned Malaysian-based Indonesian designer has been building one of the region’s most recognizable couture labels, and this new, by appointment only space truly marks a magnificent milestone in her journey.

Stepping into the World of Evita Mairesse

The atmosphere at the tea time launch event was nothing short of sophisticated. The space itself was a vision, styled in Evita’s signature palette of classic black and white. Adding a touch of dramatic flair, stunning floral installations adorned the walls and ceiling—a beautiful nod to the sculptural flower motifs that have become a defining feature of her exquisite designs.

Of course, dressing for the event was part of the fun! I chose to wear a gorgeous light pink suit by Evita Mairesse. The ensemble was everything I love about the brand: sleek, elegant, and comfortable, making me feel confident and poised as I mingled with the distinguished guests.

The intimate setting brought together VIP clients, media friends, and a whole host of recognizable faces for a close-up experience of the brand's incredible craftsmanship. It was inspiring to see so many attendees, including myself, showcasing pieces from the Evita Mairesse collection.

One of the highlights was seeing several of Evita’s past pageant creations displayed on mannequins. The intricate detailing and meticulous handiwork on these gowns, which have graced international stages for Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Grand, and more, were truly breathtaking. It’s no wonder she’s earned the affectionate and well-deserved title: Dressmaker to the Beauty Queens!

Among the notable guests celebrating this achievement were this year’s Miss Supranational Malaysia Eshwin Kaur, actress Natasya Mahyan, model Sharwita, and singer Syada Amzah, alongside media personalities like Sunshine Kelly and television host Fiera Afendi. The room was buzzing with talent and admiration for Evita’s artistry.
