Tepuk Tepung & Hartamas Shopping Centre Spreading Joy to Children

Sweet moments for a great cause…  was so happy to be part of a meaningful afternoon as Chef Puan Sri Nisa Bakri, Founder of Tepuk Tepung Patisserie joined hands with Hartamas Shopping Centre  to host the children from Trinity Community Children Home and Rumah Anak Yatim Taman Medan. From making cake boxes, decorating cupcakes to sharing festive gifts, the day was all about spreading love and creating smiles together.

This CSR initiative brought together 30 orphanage organizations from diverse backgrounds, uniting the community through warmth, activity, and delicious treats. It was a beautiful reflection of what Tepuk Tepung Patisserie stands for.

Also in attendance were Hartamas Shopping Centre Advertising and Promotions Manager, James Chong; community figure Puan Seri Zainab Abdul Kader; and several close friends. 

Towards the end of the event, the atmosphere grew even more lively when Tan Sri David Chiu, Founder and Chairman of Maryland Group (KM), the developer of Hartamas Shopping Centre and his wife, Puan Seri Nancy Chiu, Vice Chairman of KM, made a special appearance all the way from Hong Kong.

As the new Gourmet Lifestyle Grab & Go by Nisabakrigourmet, they are all about ‘baking happiness’ into every moment—not just through their artisanal cakes, but by giving back to the community that inspires them. 

Event Highlights

Children from 2 orphanages and 30 participating orphanage organizations representing a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

- Hands-on Activities for Kids:

- Making cake boxes to foster creativity and teamwork  

- Icing cupcakes, encouraging dexterity and self-expression  

Token of Appreciation: Each child and participating organization received a token of appreciation in recognition of their resilience and spirit.

Christmas Goodies: A collection of festive treats and essentials to bring holiday cheer to the children and their caretakers.

Celebrating Shareability: The event underscored the joy of sharing happiness, generosity, and community support during the festive season.

This CSR initiative embodies Tepuk Tepung Patisserie’s commitment to community empowerment and social responsibility. By partnering with Hartamas Shopping Centre, the program expanded its reach and amplified the impact of giving. The activities were designed not only to delight the children with sweet treats but also to instill a sense of belonging, confidence, and optimism for the future.
