| Green Moves at The Gardens Mall |
From 9th - 29th June 2025, The Gardens Mall is hosting its Green Moves exhibition on the Ground Floor. Featuring a mock cafe and grocery store, the exhibition will share tips on how we can all reduce food waste in our daily lives, whether it is dining out or when shopping for daily necessities.
The exhibition is the 2nd anniversary of the mall’s food waste composting programme. Since beginning this programme in July 2023, The Gardens Mall has worked with over 21 of its restaurants and grocers to divert over 386,000 kilograms of food waste from the landfills. Unfinished meals and expired produce are given a new purpose, being turned into compost fertiliser for the mall to use in its landscaping.
Weekend Giveaway and Workshops*
Learn to make mosquito repellent incense with used coffee grounds or a scented candle with used cooking oil during the exhibition’s weekend workshops. All you have to do is spend a minimum of RM50 at any store in The Gardens Mall to register one participant. If you’re a Maybank cardmember, good news - any amount spent in The Gardens Mall qualifies you to register one participant!
If you’re in the mood to grow your own vegetables, swing by the North Palm at 1pm and 5pm every weekend to receive free okra, chili, tomato, and Thai basil seeds! As a bonus, some lucky visitors will also walk away with plant starter kits to make it easier for you to begin your home vegetable garden!
The mall is also giving away complimentary compost fertiliser every day, simply head over to the North Palm to pick up a packet for your garden - no purchase necessary!
