Butaya Izakaya @ Sri Hartamas

Hey do you want to know here to eat authentic traditional Japanese Food in Sri Hartamas? Recently, we went to Butaya Izakaya @ Sri Hartamas to chill out. As you know I am onto Japanese food so when Butaya Izakaya opened a few weeks ago near our neighborhood, I knew that I must try it.

Well, Butaya Izakaya is not any ordinary Japanese Restaurant, it provides an authentic traditional Japanese gastropub experience with its affordable beers & sake, and a fantastic ambiance. I love the interior décor which resemblance some of the Japanese casual dining that I have tried when I was in Hokkaido. Let’s eat!

We started with an array of appetizers such as Boiled Salted Pork Belly With Spicy Miso Sesame, Chashu Bun Platter, Luncheon Tomago, Takoyaki, Cucumber Sesame, Spinach Dashi.

Butaya Izakaya’s signature yakitori selections

Then we moved on to Butaya Izakaya’s signature yakitori selections. Their yakitori is quite affordable price range of RM4 to RM5 per sticks with quite good varieties such as meat, vegetables, fish and also the internal organs.

The portion is pretty generous for its price in Hartamas area. I like the marination and also the juicy tender meat. I am sure this goes well with beer or sake.

Overall, Butaya Izakaya offers quite an extensive menu from their signature yakitori to sashimi, deep fried dishes, don, ramen, soba, tempura and many more. Really spoilt for choices, plus their sake and beer are really affordable. Surprisingly their Teriyaki Pork Ribs is just RM38; really tasty, juicy and tender plus it goes well with sake or beer. This is a great place to dine and dropby for happy hour, there are ample parking lots along the road and it free after 6pm.
