Hosted at the iconic Lemon Garden from 2 to 16 September 2026, this exclusive two-week Malaysia Day heritage buffet brings together culinary artisans from Shangri-La properties across the country. Together, they bring to life a deeply personal menu inspired by authentic family recipes, indigenous ingredients, and time-honored cooking techniques passed down through generations.
A Culinary Journey Across All 13 States
Malaysia's food culture is as diverse as its history. From the seafood-rich coasts of East Malaysia to the aromatic spice routes of Peninsular Malaysia, each state boasts a distinct gastronomic footprint. Rather than offering standard buffet fare, the Flavours of Malaysia showcase dives deep into regional identities, presenting classic dishes rooted in local heritage and local expertise.
To bring this vision to life, talented chefs from Shangri-La hotels across Malaysia are coming together to present n authentic journey through regional heritage recipes.
Guests will enjoy a rich tapestry of Malaysian flavours, from regional specialities like Kerabu Jantung Pisang dan Udang Kara Hinava and Penang Prawn Mee from regional specialties like Kerabu Jantung Pisang dan Udang Kara Hinava and Penang Prawn Mee, to comforting classics such as Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Patin, Nyonya Chicken Pongteh, Nasi Dagang, and Tenghilan-Style Sinalau Kambing, followed by a selection of local desserts. These dishes offer a taste of what's on the menu, with further regional specialities awaiting guests throughout the two-week celebration.
