Hunan–Malaysia Cultural, Trade & Tourism Expo Elevates Bilateral Cooperation Guided by the theme “THE HUNAN – MALAYSIA SYNERGY POWERING INVESTMENT, TRADE & TOURISM”, the Hunan–Malaysia Cultural, Trade & Tourism Expo serves as the key offline extension of “Let’s Go Malaysia.” The initiative integrates five core pillars:
Cultural & Tourism Promotion + Product Exhibition & Sales + Overseas Business Expansion + Media Outreach + Education & Investment Visits, forming a comprehensive cross-border cooperation platform that combines cultural exchange, economic collaboration, and industrial connectivity.
The project aims to deepen strategic cooperation between Hunan and Malaysia, particularly Johor, in tourism promotion, industrial synergy, and trade engagement, achieving complementary resource integration and shared value creation.
As a major extension of this collaboration, the Hunan–Malaysia Business & Tourism Expo will be held in Johor, Malaysia, from 31st July to 2nd August, spanning three days. The event will feature:
• China Gastronomy Carnival
• Official Opening Ceremony
• Culinary Demonstrations & Interactive Experiences
• Malaysia–China Cultural Performances
• Brand Showcase & Promotion Sessions
• Hunan–Malaysia Global Business Matching Forum
• Business & Tourism Investment Visits
• Education Abroad & Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme Sharing Session
The expo is expected to attract no fewer than 500 emerging enterprises and premium brands from China for exhibition and business matching, further expanding bilateral trade scale and deepening industrial exchange.
Through the dual engines of media amplification and industrial matchmaking, this initiative not only supports Chinese enterprises in expanding into the Southeast Asian market, but also facilitates the entry of high-quality Malaysian companies and specialty products into China. The result is a new framework of cultural integration, industrial co-development, and shared prosperity in commerce and tourism.
This collaboration represents both a pragmatic step in regional partnership and an innovative model for deep integration across culture, business, and tourism sectors. It marks a new phase of closer, more diversified, and sustainable cooperation between China and Malaysia.
