Fly & Ride Vol. 1: Malaysia & Thailand

A unique cross-border cycling adventure is set to make its debut from 19 May to 24 May 2025 with the launch of Fly & Ride Vol. 1 – Malaysia & Thailand, a six-day cycling and travel experience designed to promote regional tourism, sustainable travel, and cultural exchange across Malaysia and Thailand.

Organised by Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, this inaugural event is proudly supported by Tourism Malaysia (South India & Sri Lanka), who play a pivotal role in championing the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign and positioning Malaysia as a regional cycling and tourism destination. 

Contributing partners from India, Just Buy Cycles and Choose My Bicycle, add value through on-ground cycling community engagement. The route spans iconic locations including Penang, Dannok, Hatyai, Ipoh, and Kuala Lumpur, showcasing the region’s rich cultural and scenic diversity.

In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, Fly & Ride Vol. 1 is more than just a cycling event; it is a movement to foster eco-conscious travel, healthy living, and regional collaboration. This exciting initiative is anchored by strong support from key strategic and official partners, led by Tourism Malaysia (South India & Sri Lanka), alongside KTMB (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad), Penang Global Tourism, the Songkhla Chamber of Commerce, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Amazing Thailand.

The ride will be officially initiated in Penang by Tuan Hishamuddin Mustafa, Tourism Director for South India & Sri Lanka, and Ooi Chok Yan, CEO of Penang Global Tourism, and will be escorted by PDRM Penang to ensure safety and coordination throughout the Malaysian leg of the journey.

This activation is especially targeted at cycling and adventure enthusiasts from Tamil Nadu, India, offering them an immersive way to experience Malaysia through its historic landmarks, local delicacies, and vibrant culture, while networking with fellow riders from the region.

Fly & Ride Vol. 1 is a multi-modal adventure combining flight, rail, and cycling, designed to promote cross-border tourism, encourage sustainable travel, and build bridges between the cycling communities of Malaysia, India, and Thailand. With a growing focus on sports tourism, the event is expected to evolve into an annual signature series, aligned with Malaysia’s broader tourism goals.
