Glenmorangie Tasting at The Hill, Bukit Damansara, KL

Nice evening with cool weather, I was at the The Hill restaurant & bistro at Bukit Damansara for Glenmorangie Wisky Tasting

Glenmorangie Single Malt Scotch Wisky
The Original, The Lasanta, The Quinta Ruban, The Nectar D’or, Astar, Sonnalta PX, Signet, Finealta, 18 Years Old, 25 Years Old

Chong Wai Keng, Glenmoramgie Brand Ambassador

Glenmorangie comes from the Scots Gaelic Gleann mor na sithe which means 'valley of tranquillity', a perfect description of the peaceful setting near Tain.

Region: Highlands
Established: 1843
Water Source: Tarlogie Springs

The Glenmorangie distillery has been producing its famous single malt since 1843. The distillery is at Tain overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The distillery was built using a pair of very high second hand gin stills. The original shape of these high stills still remains today. In fact the refinement and quality of Glenmorangie whisky is partially due to these very high stills which are the highest stills in Scotland.

The Nectar D’or

Color: Honeyed
Aroma: Citrus, vanilla, sultanas, dates, honey, coconut and nutmeg.
Taste: Ginger, nutmeg and toasted almonds bring a deep, warming taste interwoven with a syrupy lemon meringue and honeycomb middle. Lemony, creamy and sweet syrupy like honey. Silky and Sumptuous
Finish: Languid and sweet with lemon zest, vanilla cream and delicate hints of ginger and nutmeg

18 Years Old

Color: Honeyed Gold
Aroma: Rich, rounded and sweet with dried fruits and a complex floral fragrance. Hazelnut, exotic floral and honey.
