You must be wondering why I talk about cooking right? Well we are what we eat. If we don’t watch our diet and feed our body with nutritious food soon we will see the effects on our health and of course our looks too. If you love fried chicken then perhaps you should try to use healthy fry instead of deep fry because I only use 1 teaspoon of oil in healthy fry method. Plus I also learnt that turmeric is not only good for our health but also our skin too. Here is our recipe for Healthy Fried Turmeric Drummet with Citrus and Peri-Peri Sauce.

Cooking time: 20 minutes

The Ingredients: Healthy Fried Turmeric Drummet with Citrus and Peri-Peri Sauce
  
Ingredients
5 chicken drummet
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
1 tablespoon of
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper

The Method: Healthy Fried Turmeric Drummet with Citrus and Peri-Peri Sauce


Method

1. Marinate the drummet with turmeric, salt, pepper, orange juice and peri-peri sauce for at least 20 minutes.

2. Cook using Healthy Fry selection for 20 minutes.

3. Line the steam bake tray with parchment paper or aluminium foil; then arrange the drummet on the tray and cook on Healthy Fry for 20 minutes. That day I ran out of aluminium foil and parchment paper so I lined my drummet in Le Creuset caserole dish. 

Tips: you can also add in some curry leaves for added flavours and cook an extra 10 minutes for a crispier finish.

Tadah! here is our version of healthy fried turmeric drummet with citrrus and peri-peri sauce cooked using Panasonic Cubie Oven. Healthy fry is one of the functions avaialable in this multi-function and compact Panasonic Cubie Oven which is very useful for health advocates like me. I only have to marinate, set the cooking mode and after 20 minutes the fried chicken is ready to be served without causing the kitchen to be greasy, smokey or oily.
