Shimokita Japanese Creative Street Market

Come and experience Japan’s creative street market. This first-of-its-kind creative market is named after the famous Shimokitazawa district in Tokyo, renowned for its creative energy as the centre for stage theater, live music, art bazaars and youth culture.

In a special collaboration with Pipit, the local largest independent creative community in Malaysia, Tokyo Street will be hosting the most happening art and handmade market festival in Malaysia featuring independent creative talents during the weekend of 9th and 10th June.


Tokyo Street at Pavilion KL will be showcasing their creations, bringing the best and most handmade products from stationary to fabric dolls, jewelries t bangs, and lots more, on display with 50 stalls to discover in this one-of-a-kind exhibition.

Among the artists lined up include the hugely popular Pupurin, Oh & Ah , Pocotee , LOZL , Bremen Wong and lots more. There will be over 50 participating artistes in the Shimokita Creative Street Market, taking place on 9th and 10th June from 11am to 8pm daily.

There will be fun-filled, interactive workshops also for kids and adults to enjoy. Learn the art of origami, get a temporary airbrushed tattoo, make a masterpiece with sand art, sculpt a wax hand and more at the Tokyo Street Event Hall, Level 6.



En Ginza: Futoi (Fat Monster) Shimokita Bun & Coffee
Fat Monster Y U So Cute! I want to eat you, 1 Futoi is not enough :) 

To commemorate the occasion, En Ginza CafĂ© at Tokyo Street has created special Shimokita-inspired buns in the shape of the creative market’s mascot, Futoi, meaning ‘fat monster’ in Japanese. Shoppers can enjoy a Shimokita bun for just RM3.50 and Shimokita latte art coffee for just RM9.90.
