Do you think you know who they are?

Music Stars

It’s Jenny From The Block
This Puerto Rican beauty has come a long way from being the girl from the Bronx. Jennifer Lopez is now considered to be one of the most influential and successful entertainers in the world. She is not just another pretty face. The multi-talented star has conquered it all. She has been at the top of the music charts, at the box office and of course also on many of the best dressed lists. Jennifer is bold, sexy and never afraid to show us some skin.

Who could forget the Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture runway black and blue sheer dress that she wore on the the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards, or the Kaufmanfranco Fall 2014 beaded long-sleeved mini dress she wore to the ‘American Idol’ Season 13 grand finale? As she has proved time and time again, if someone can pull off a tight mini dress to perfection, without a doubt it would be JLo.

The Rogue Riri
You have to admire someone that pushes the envelope as much as Rihanna does. She is comfortable in her own skin and we love her for not being afraid to show it. Many designers call her their muse and she revealed this year that she might give them some competition with a fashion line of her own.

Besides being close friends with top designers such as Tom Ford, Olivier Rousteing, Karl Lagerfeld, Jeremy Scott and Riccardo Tisci, she teamed up with River Island and MAC for fashion and beauty collaborations, and has also serves as producer and host of the fashion reality competition television series 'Styled to Rock'. So it is no surprise that Rihanna was honored with the Fashion Icon award at the 2014 CFDA Awards in New York City.

Billboard Topper
Taylor Swift might have just turned 25 years old but she has accomplished much more than most people do in a lifetime. Aside from being graceful, charming, and a true artist, her style is modern and sophisticated, which are just a few of the many reasons millions of girls around the world look up to her. She looked stunning at the Golden Globes in a red and black Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2014 strapless gown.

Then she showed up at the after-party looking youthful and fierce in a Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 black knit dress that hugged her supermodel-like figure. At this year’s Grammy Awards, the multi-nominated singer embraced the metallic trend opting for a shimmering champagne color Gucci Première short sleeve gown paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels and clutch. And going back to showing off her more angelic side, Taylor attended the Winter Whites Gala in Aid of Centrepoint, wearing a very memorable Reem Acra Spring 2014 off-the-shoulder gown.

This talented entertainer has every woman’s dream designer wardrobe. But there is no point of owning such precious garments if can’t pull them off with style and Taylor sure can. Whether showing off some skin or more covered up, we always look forward to Taylor’s fashion choices, which are guaranteed knockouts.

Red Carpet Head Turners

The Ever Elegant Cate
Cate Blanchett is of course known for her undisputed talent when it comes to being in front of the camera and transforming into a character, but she is also very well known and admired for her timeless style and elegance. This red carpet seasoned professional, as expected, kept making right choices in 2014.

Being nominated at all of the top award shows this year for her powerful portrayal of a New York socialite in Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’, Cate not only took home Best Actress awards but also made it to the top spots of everyone’s best dressed lists with her flawless red carpet picks, especially from Armani Privé. Although we also admire other bold choices such as her sleek Alexander McQueen gown at the BAFTAs and the metallic silver Prada Fall 2013 dress she wore to the 86th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon.

One Hot Momma!
In a year full of very stylish mothers-to-be, Olivia Wilde managed to become the best dressed of them all, beating out strong competition from fellow stunning pregnant stars such as “Scandal” star Kerry Washington, music goddess Ciara and Spanish beauty Elsa Pataky. At the 2014 Golden Globes, the actress impressed us with her choice of a fully embroidered, long-sleeved, shimmering Gucci Première gown with dark green metallic paillettes and emerald crystals, which she accessorized with an Emm Kuo clutch, Charlotte Olympia shoes and Forevermark jewels.

At the Oscars, her pick of a Valentino Pre-Fall 2014 mock-turtleneck black and white dress was yet another slam-dunk.  She also knows how to rock a casual style sporting a Current/Elliott denim jumpsuit and gold trainers when she attended the 2014 Global Citizen Festival in New York City. Olivia has perfected her classic yet contemporary style with stunning choices time and time again and as the star of more upcoming 2015 films, we are sure she will only get better.

The Enchanted Princess Amy
The multitalented and dazzling American actress Amy Adams, who is currently the face of Eau de Lacoste perfume and perfectly personifies old-Hollywood glamour, has always had style but this year was a breakthrough for her in the fashion department, becoming a frontrunner in all the best dressed lists during award season.

She upped the sex appeal a bit as well; starting with hot red Valentino Haute Couture gown she wore at this year’s Golden Globes. Another bold and spot-on choices were her shimmering royal blue Gucci Spring 2015 gown she wore at the LACMA’s fourth annual Art+Film Gala and the bright pink Roland Mouret gown with draped neckline she rocked at the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Alluring Zoe
There is no denying that Zoe Zaldana is just one of the coolest actresses alive, having starred in some of the biggest blockbuster franchises of this millennium, such as Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean”, the iconic sci fi series “Star Trek”, James Cameron’s “Avatar”, and most recently in 2014, “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

Whether pregnant or not, Zoe, who is well known for her polish, feminine yet daring style, rocks the most amazing high-end designer outfits, from a Valentino soft-blue gown printed with monkeys, to a custom Michael Kors gown for the MET Gala, to an edgy Prabal Gurung creation and a bold yellow Etro yellow and white printed shirt dress. Everywhere Zoe goes, she is simply just a breath of fresh air and we cannot get enough of her.

New Hollywood

Emma’s Captivating Web
Emma Stone does sophistication with a twist like no one else. The ‘Spiderman’ star looked ravishing at every red carpet she walked on this year. We were captivated by the white lace Dolce & Gabbana blouse and pencil skirt she wore at the photocall for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, completing the romantic look with Valentino shoes and a fun braid in her hair. Even when choosing a casual Proenza Schouler daytime attire for the 71st Venice International Film Festival, Emma is right on point.

During the opening ceremony of the Venice Film Festival, Emma looked every bit the Hollywood royal she is in a Valentino Fall 2014 Couture green tulle gown. We can all agree that Emma is always very polished and well put together and we admire the fact that she loves to reinvent her look, playing with different hairstyles and colors. Her flawless, chic and always evolving fashion sense sets her apart and we cannot wait to see what she will be wearing in 2015.

The Rising Star
It is no surprise that Lupita Nyong’o is now considered as one of the award season's breakout stars, in both the acting and fashion categories. Not only did she win a SAG and an Academy Award, but also has been crowned as the official red carpet darling of 2014. Shining first in a strapless emerald green Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture gown with a dramatic train at this year’s BAFTA’s, followed by her caped red Ralph Lauren Spring 2014 Collection dress at the Golden Globes.

At the Oscars, she finished up awards season in a striking pale blue, plunge-front pleated Prada gown, which created the perfect fairy tale moment, as she won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘12 Years a Slave’. Lupita also landed the covers of fashion magazines ‘Dazed & Confused’ and ‘DuJour’; secured herself as the new face of a Miu Miu campaign; was announced as the new face of Lancôme; appeared on the covers of New York magazine’s Spring Fashion issue, and was named "The Most Beautiful Woman" by People magazine.

The Girl On Fire
In 2013 Jennifer Lawrence undisputedly earned her spot as one of Hollywood’s most stylish celebrities, and then managed to do things right once again in 2014, always finding the perfect mix of old Hollywood glam and casual fun sex appeal. This “it girl” can rock anything from a simple power suit to a bold cocktail dress and a haute couture ball gown. We have mostly seen her wearing Dior ever since she signed on to be the face of the fashion house back in 2012.

She wore the maison’s designs at the Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG Awards and most of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1” premieres. Aside from her go-to French label, this year J. Law has been seen rocking other designers such as Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Oscar de la Renta. The young starlet has not only proved to be a very talented actress, singer and spokesperson, but also a fashionista whose fashion choices we always look forward to seeing.

Hopefully you were as pleasantly surprised as we were with their style choices. But who among these fashionably chic ladies took the number one spot in our countdown? Top 10 Most Stylish Celebrities of 2014 is on Fashion One, FO and Fashion First.

  1. A hard thing about being one of the mixed celebrities is that people are always nice to you. You're in a conversation and everybody's agreeing with what you're saying - even if you say something totally crazy.
