Winter Be Gone! 3 Great Ideas to Nail the Summer Look

Invest in Mineral Powder
Spend a bit of time watching Jeremy Kyle or walk down the high street of a provincial town and you’re sure to see flocks of women wearing enough cheap foundation to cover a crash of rhinos – and that’s invariably a terrible look.

What you really need in the summer months is a makeup that will offer you comprehensive coverage, without suffocating your skin. Consequently, opt for a mineral powder, which is free of any oils, perfumes, talc or dyes, helping to give your skin a natural glow.

Mix Up Your Colours
Aside from makeup, getting your summer fashion in gear is down to having the correct combination of bright and muted colours. Why? Because although it’s the season for something more dazzling, the last thing you want or need is to look like a reject from Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.

With this in mind, try a few unassuming colours for the main portions of your outfit such as pale pink shirts, for instance and combine that with a little daubing of floral patterns here and there, like a scarf or a handbag.

Floral Sundresses
Ahh, summer simply wouldn’t be summer without the faithful floral sundress. Put simply, it should be a staple of your wardrobe, allowing you to hit the beach or head for lunch with the girls without feeling under-dressed.

If you fancy something a little bit dressier, however, opt for a bright, floral maxi, which you can wear to a fancy restaurant and the local juice bar. It really is the perfect outfit for that effortless day-to-evening look.
