Yesterday I had a Date with Beauty at Great Guardian Makeover 1 Utama with the girls. Every year the number of participants grew with more excitements.

When we look good, we feel good and confident of ourselves. That’s life, like what I always say the small things actually matter the most. Sometimes just a makeover with makeup and hairdo then take pictures of ourselves for remembrance will make us happy. These are the moments we enjoyed and had fun with our girlfriends, sisters, mother, friends and family together.

Date: 5th & 6th April 2014
Time: 10am to 10pm
Venue: Concourse, Old Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre
Fees: RM10 a Makeover Session, a Photo session and Goody bag. 

All you need is to purchase RM20 and above including 1 participating brand in a single receipt you are entitled to buy 1 Makeover Ticket at RM10 to participate on the Great Guardian Makeover at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Each Makeover ticket entitles you to a Makeover Session (makeup & hairdo), a photo session and goody bag. In conjunction with the Great Guardian Makeover 2014 there are 2 online contest going on such as PhotoBox Contest on Facebook and an Instagram Contest. The contest period for both is from 5th – 30th April, 2014.

For PhotoBox Contest on Facebook, you need to pose creatively with the given props provided by Guardian at the Great Guardian Makeover, Like the Guardian Malaysia Facebook page and look for your photo in the Photo Box Contest photo album. Tag yourself on the photo and upload it as your Facebook profile picture. The lucky winner winhs a Designer Bag worth RM1,640.

For Instagram Contest, you need to follow Guardian Malaysia on Instagram #guardianmalaysia, snap a selfie and submit the photo and in not more than 20 words tell Guardian “What makes you beautiful”. Tag @guardianmalaysia and #GuardianBeauties and you are on your way to win a Designer Bag worth RM1,140.

My Makeover Session - nude makeup & straight hairdo 

Here, I am getting my makeup and hairdo done by the A Cut Above Academy hair stylist and makeup artist. There are 2 types of looks for makeup Nude or Glam Makeup. I chose the Nude because I was wearing so casual that day.

As usual my #ootd (outlook of the day) are Levi’s Demi Curve Jeans, Superdry Baby Tee, Crocs Boat Shoes and Guess Denim Tote Bag. Oh yes! you can choose a few hairstyles, well I choose the iron straight hairstyle, actually I was quite tempted to try the one side braided hairstyle.

After my makeover, I go to the photo booth for my photo session. Hey! Love their props. So how do I look? Overall, it was quite a fun filled event especially with the girls. I quite like my simple nude makeup for a casual Saturday outing and also my smooth and silky hair after the hairdo.

Quarter Roast Chicken & Ice Lemon Tea @ Dave's Deli 1 Utama

After the makeover session I had lunch at the Dave's Deli. It has been quite some time since I last visit to this outlet. I ordered the Quarter Roast Chicken and ice lemon tea. The roast chicken was not bad and I skipped the mushroom soup because I can’t eat that much. Or not suppose to eat that much shhh… because I am on diet.
