I was at the Veet It Off Grand Finale that took place in Empire Hotel Subang. The grand finale saw the drab-to-fab of top 10 finalists, who made the cut with their distinctive creativity and outstanding confidence among all the Veet It Off contestants.  While cat-walking down the grand finale runway, each finalist expressed their own knack for flaunting their best features – their smooth and flawless skin.

This contest kicked off in September 2012, the Veet It Off contest invited entries from Malaysian women aged 16 years and above.  Participants merely had to take a picture of themselves in an outfit, deconstruct the same outfit so that it shows off their smooth skin, and snap another picture of them wearing the redesigned attire.  The snapshots were then uploaded on Veet’s Facebook page, and the 50 contestants that scored the most votes from friends were shortlisted to attend an interview session.

From the interview session, ten young women emerged to vie for the grand prize in the final round of the contest. Other than showing their redesigned outfits, these finalists’ confidence and public speaking skills were put to the test as they had to interact with the emcee during the Question and Answer session.

For a longer-lasting bliss of smooth beauty, Veet has even rolled out a new hair removal formulation that works on very short hair, so women no longer have to wait for their hair to grow longer to enjoy the smooth sensation of freshly depilated skin.

The grand prize winner take home RM5,000 cash, a chance to appear in a magazine, a custom-made designer masterpiece by the fashion label Yadotsa, and a one-year supply of Veet products worth RM500.

The rest of the nine finalists will also not go home empty-handed – they each bag a prize of RM500 cash and a year supply of Veet products.  Finally, the winners picked for the Most Creative/Personality Award and Fans Most Voted Award were also entitled to RM500 cash and a year supply of Veet products each.
