Innovative Fit Smart Bra That Won Red Dot Product Design Award

Innovative Fit Smart Bra That Won Red Dot Product Design Award

Triumph’s Fit Smart bra has been developed to physically mould and adapt to women’s individual bodies and the fluctuations they encounter. Its special fabric, secret support system and 4D engineering gives women support and lift, whilst offering the ultimate feeling of comfort as it is literally ‘shaped by them’.

Never before in the award’s 60-year history have so many companies and design studios put product forward for consideration, with products from around 60 countries being entered with their design quality and degree of innovation evaluated in a process lasting several days, adding further kudos to the award received.

The Red Dot Award Product Design dates back as far as 1955 and recognises the best products for a given year. The roughly 50 jurors were once again true to the motto “In search of good design and innovation” in the 2021 competition. The international panel of experts comprises specialists from a wide variety of sectors. They scrutinised the products entered in the competition in a process that spanned several days and were guided by assessment criteria such as the product’s formal quality, ergonomics and longevity.

Sian Thomas, Global Head of Creative Design at Triumph comments, “We are incredibly proud and honoured that our Fit Smart bra has been awarded the Red Dot seal of quality. We are a company that prides itself on producing high quality design that provides superior fit and support for all women, regardless of their shape or cup size. This award-winning product has revolutionised the lingerie market in its ability to adapt to women’s individual body shapes, offering unparalleled levels of comfort that Triumph has become known for and we’re honoured for the recognition awarded to us by the Red Dot Design Award judging panel”.

On the laureates, Professor Dr. Peter Zec, the founder and CEO of Red Dot comments, “The winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 were particularly impressive this year. The design of their products is excellent, in terms of both the aesthetic and the functionality. It’s not easy to prevail in such a strong field of competitors and to win over our jury. Consequently, I want to congratulate the laureates very sincerely on their success”.

Triumph continues to lead the way in its expertise in comfort, style and fit, introducing new ranges that are influenced and inspired by its customers around the globe. As a brand that has inclusivity and diversity at its core, its new product innovations are designed with all bodies in mind, regardless of shape or size. It is leading the way in developing products with smart innovation, such as the Fit Smart, that intelligently adapt to individual body shapes and that cater to a comfort-driven way of living.

Fit Smart can be seen in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website from 21 June 2021. That date also marks the beginning of the Red Dot Design Week, during which this year’s award winners and Triumph’s Fit Smart will be celebrated online.

From 22 June 2021, Fit Smart will also be included in the exhibition “Design on Stage” in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, where all of the award-winning products are showcased. Visitors to the museum can experience the quality of the designs in a space that features contemporary design solutions and historical industrial architecture. The Red Dot Design Yearbook 2021/2022 comes out in August. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and trends in product design.
