HaKU, an electronic rock band from Japan will be closing their “Wonderland Release Tour 2013” at The Venue, Pavilion KualaLumpur, at 6.00pm specifically on 7th July 2013.

Formed in 2007, and after making its major label debut in October 2012, HaKU relies purely on human power to bring about its music, as they create music without relying on computers or synthesisers of any kind, even in live performances. In conjunction with Kuala Lumpur being the final pit stop of their tour, HaKU will also be releasing a special Malaysian Limited Edition album, which will include a Malaysian bonus track entitled “What’sWith Him?”, and this album will be sold exclusively and solely in Malaysia. During their stay here, HaKU will be shooting their music video at signature spots and famous landmarks around Kuala Lumpur for the bonus track.

Ticket sales started on 1st May 2013 at an early bird price of RM60.00, and will cost RM70.00 from June 2013 onwards, you can still buy the ticket on that day for RM80.00. Kronenbourg 1664 the French Art of Pleasure all over the world and France’s No.1 super premium beer kicked start their 2013 fashion platform. A celebration of young upcoming local talent, Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion series is a platform that provides budding new designers and imaginative minds an avenue to showcase their works of art. This year’s theme - French Masterpieces will be an amazing concept that designers can work with to celebrate the richness of the French culture.

This competition promises bolder, more sophisticated creations that are set to captivate Malaysian fashion enthusiasts and style aficionados. Winner of the competition will qualify for a 3-Months Internship at a Top London Fashion House courtesy from Kronenbourg 1664.

The top 20 Participants that qualify to the next round will receive RM500 cash to develop their collection taking them a step closer to the real world of fashion. They will then participate in a qualifier challenge and creative photo shoot before the judges’ shortlist their five finalists. This amazing top 5 will then be mentored by the infamous Gillian Hung, President of Malaysian Official Designers’ Association (MODA) to produce a grand finale showcase collection.

Judges will be grading the designers on outstanding creativity, skill of workmanship and inspiration. Fashion designers who are keen on joining will have to submit four documents before the application can be processed for judging. Coloured sketches, mood boards and fabric boards; all of A3 size must be submitted together with the application form. The mood board should contain the description of the design concept and vision for the collection to add depth and context to their designs.

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) Rebranding Journey

Thanks to Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) for their unique and warm Bruneian hospitality at the cocktail session in Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur last week.

Brunei Darussalam’s national carrier, Royal Brunei Airlines (RB), first began its rebranding journey in an event held at the Brunei International Airport last October, presenting its new livery and logo on an Airbus A319, which was painted by RB’s own in-house engineering team. RB reemerged as a sleeker, more streamlined airline that stands up to the ever-evolving competitive market.

RB will be rolling out a new website experience (including new social media experience), new uniforms and new lounge and ticket office environments. The completion of the rebranding process will be timed to coincide with the entry into service of 787 Boeing Dreamliners in October 2013, making RB the first airline in South-East Asia to take delivery of this ultra modern aircraft.
