Prebiotics: the substances come from types of carbs mostly fiber that humans can’t digest. They serve as food for probiotics, which are tiny living microorganisms, including bacteria and yeast. The beneficial bacteria in your gut eat this fiber.

Prebiotics: prebiotics are types of fiber found in vegetables, fruits, and legumes. Our body are not able to digest these types of fiber, but our good gut bacteria can digest them. Example of Prebiotics foods:

Alliums, such as garlic, onions, and leeks

Asparagus, apples, berries, slightly under-ripe bananas

Chicory root, Jerusalem artichokes (aka sunchokes)

Dandelion greens

Legumes, beans, and peas

As mentioned earlier, prebiotics and probiotics are vital for our healthy digestion and they are also effective for treating diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, and some allergies. They also have been suggested as treatments for obesity. Probiotics can help to lose weight, lower your body fat percentage, and treatment for inflammatory arthritis too.
