A Tribute to Tradition: "Penjaga Warisan"

At the heart of this year’s celebration is the festive brand film, "Penjaga Warisan" (The Guardian of Heritage), produced in collaboration with Sofia Iman. Filmed through a documentarian lens, it captures the delicate tension between the city’s rapid pace and the quiet traditions of Terengganu, following the thread between generations.

Like the traditions it celebrates, every element of this film was made entirely by human hands—from the music composed from scratch to the poem written from the heart—serving as a quiet act of resistance against a fast-paced, digital world.

Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, said: "This Hari Raya, through our significant collaboration with Sofia Iman and the narrative of 'Penjaga Warisan', we are not merely showcasing heritage—we are safeguarding it. And as the nation celebrates Visit Malaysia 2026, we are proud to play our part in showcasing Malaysia’s cultural soul to a global audience, positioning the KLCC Precinct as a premier touchpoint for international visitors to experience the authenticity of our heritage”.

Puan Faralina Binti Abdul Wahab, Founder of Sofia Iman, shared: "What we are showcasing today is the culmination of years of dedication, creativity, and staying true to our cultural roots.

Sofia Iman's presence at Suria KLCC has shown us that customers desire modern interpretations of songket and batik that they can incorporate into their daily lives. This is an opportunity to present our story, honour our artisans, and share Malaysian craftsmanship with a broader audience".

ALAMANDA SHOPPING CENTRE: A FESTIVE BOULEVARD OF TRADITION AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT (from 27 February 2026 to 5 April 2026)

Alamanda Shopping Centre brings the spirit of Hari Raya to life through a charming Bougainvillea Garden. This beautifully curated setting offers a welcoming environment for families to gather, centred by a traditional Malay wakaf. Defined by architectural heritage, the wakaf features classic wooden arches and tiered roofing inspired by Malay design, instantly transporting visitors to a nostalgic kampung setting.

The essence of a floral sanctuary is captured throughout the Centre Court, where visitors can stroll through a vibrant flower tunnel of bougainvillea blossoms that frame the garden paths.

As evening falls, the garden takes on a familiar radiance; the soft, golden glow of traditional pelita and intricate decorative lighting breathe life into the garden, evoking the warmth of a homecoming and providing a perfect backdrop for families to capture their festive moments together.

On weekends, the mall will come alive with the grace of traditional Malay dance performances.

Members of the VIKids Club can discover their heritage through hands-on arts and crafts, such as mini Wau Bulan making, while the whole family can enjoy cultural showcases including Angklung and Kuda Kepang performances, ensuring the next generation stays connected to their roots.

In keeping with the true essence of Ramadan, Alamanda will host children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Rukaiyah for a meaningful 'Baju Raya' shopping session, the presentation of 'Duit Raya', and a heartfelt 'Buka Puasa' meal.

Festive Rewards:

• Shoppers who spend RM700 in two receipts will be rewarded with an exclusive floral flask and a set of Raya packets.

• Those who spend RM1,500 and above will receive a RM50 Alamanda Shopping eVoucher, in addition to the exclusive floral flask and Raya packets.

MESRA MALL: CELEBRATING HERITAGE AND FESTIVE TOGETHERNESS ON THE EAST COAST (from 25 February to 31 March 2026)

In the heart of Terengganu, Mesra Mall celebrates the season by spotlighting the soul of East Coast artistry. The mall’s festive centrepiece—a traditional Malay structure set within a blooming bougainvillea garden—serves as a canvas for a special collaboration with local heritage brands. In a tribute to regional mastery, the installation is draped in hand-drawn batik by Noor Arfa and exquisite songket from Kompleks Songket Penjara Marang, honouring the skill and rhythmic history of the region’s weavers.

Beyond the visual display, visitors can witness the "spirit of the craft" firsthand through live Batik Canting and Songket Weaving workshops. This collaboration provides a prominent platform for these traditional crafts, allowing shoppers to engage with the intricate techniques that define Terengganu’s cultural identity.

Festive Rewards:

• Shoppers who spend RM350 or more in two receipts will be rewarded with a RM30 Mesra Mall Shopping Voucher and a set of exclusive Raya packets.
