We had a fun and fabulous day exploring this festive playground from 3pm till late at night. There are so many things to see, play, eat, buy and embark on a festive journey here. The Christmas Wonderland 2016 at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore is suitable for all ages and family. Please take not do wear comfy clothing and shoes plus the weather can be a bit warm. Parking at Gardens by the Bay is limited, it is better to take public.

Day Time: Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

You can experience a total different atmosphere at Christmas Wonderland 2016 from day to night. Day time it’s more like a park that we can walk about, play the carnival games and rides and also have fun at the Ice Palace. Where else in the evening when the lights are up the whole place transformed to a magical wonderland which has been expanded to 57,000sqm.

Be prepared to be mesmerized by the magical wonderland of festive sights and sounds. As mentioned, the evening atmosphere here at Christmas Wonderland 2016, Gardens by the Bay is so magical, wonderful and romantic too. Luminarie Sculptures of Light @ Christmas Wonderland Singapore

1. Luminarie Sculptures of Light
The Luminarie – Sculptures of Light imported all the way from Italy is the main attraction of this year Christmas Wonderland will illuminate the fairground. The magnificent sculptures of light handmade by skilled craftsmen using white wood from the South of Italy and this year design is based on the 17th and 18th century Baroque architecture with some 240,000 multihued bulbs will light up the 67 hand-sculpted luminarie.

Experience the Lights, Sounds and Snow

2. Spalliera Castel del Monte
The 19.7m tall Spalliera Castel del Monte is Southeast Asia’s highest and largest luminarie. Its design is largely inspired by its namesake, a 13th century castle and one of Italy’s most striking UNESCO site. Here, visitors can also look forward to experiencing ‘snow’ in the tropics at the Blizzard Time at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm daily.

3. Ice Palace
This is the season to play and have fun, step into an upsized Ice Palace to enjoy ‘winter’ wonderland. You can skate at the 400sqm Ice Skating Rink, enjoy an all-new 25m long Ice Slide or make a ‘snow’ angel at the 96sqm Snow Playground. Or you can enjoy the wintry atmosphere dining at La Noel chez PAUL French patisserie with a great view of the Ice Skating Rink.

Hi-5 Funtastic House @ Christmas Wonderland Singapore

4. Hi-5 Funtastic House
This is the first time the Hi-5 Funtastic House in Singapore. It will surely delight the little ones with a host of fun activities. If your kids are fans of the hit Australian musical group, they can have a time of their lives at the ‘Ready, Set, Bounce!’ bouncy castle, groove along to their favourite Hi-5 songs and ‘Style It Up’ for the camera in Hi-5 costumes and bring home a memento. Do check out the session and pre-book your preferred sessions online.

Carnival Rides and Games

5. Carnival Rides and Games
This year there are new rides such as bumper cars, a mini ferris wheel and motorised Bug Car rides. Plus you can also take in the sights and sounds of the fairground at a more leisurely pace on the Christmas trains.
We also tried our skills and luck to win the Disney soft toys at the carnival games stalls such as ‘Fishy Fishy’, ‘Lobster Pot’, ‘Can Toss’, ‘Ring Toss’ and ‘Hi Striker’.

6. Glass House
At night we dine at the all-new two-storey Glass House nestled amidst the Supertree Grove featuring a festive menu specially curated by Harry’s.

You can try out their festive signature dishes while taking in beautiful views of the spectacular luminarie light sculptures within an air-conditioned indoor setting. That night I had the Holly Jolly Turkey and Apple Cider, yummy in my tummy. After dinner I continue to explore the place till late.

7. Festive Market
There are stalls selling unique food, drink, crafts and custom-made items at the European-Style Festive Market featuring traditional wooden huts specially brought in from the United Kingdom.

8. Festive Entertainment
As you stroll around the Christmas Wonderland you will not miss the magical 8m wide Cassa Armonica gazebo where there are several performances going on throughout the whole duration such as Christmas Carols and etc.

  2. Singapore does the most when it comes the Christmas, I wish I had enough time to head up to there, here in Thailand there aren't much decorations. The place looks nice and no one really needs more convincing than what you have done now.

  16. They certainly did a fabulous job there - so festive, bright, and cheerful. I have to visit Singapore again and make sure to go to Gardens at the Bay during day time. In all my previous visits, I was there at night.

  26. Nice reasons! I hardly visit the Gardens By The Bay unless it's for work and filming purpose. I guess I'm too used to the gorgeous lights that I forgot to appreciate it from a tourist point of view!
