This is the second year Shiseido Professional presents the Beauty
Innovator Award 2014 (BIA2014) ~ Artistry of Inspiring Creativity held at the Grand
Ballroom of Connexion @ Nexus, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. It was a
spectacular and the largest cross-culture hair design photo competition its
kind that currently took place in 8 countries – Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore,
Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
BIA2014 kicked start with the opening gambit of Wadaiko, an
ensemble of traditional Japanese percussions.
Followed by the showcase by
Shiseido Professional Artistic Ambassador team, comprises of Edison Lim, Grand
Prix Winner of Shiseido Professional Beauty Innovator 2013, Iven Loong of Heat
Hair Studio & Academy, Melaka and Ming Thum, Finalist of Shiseido Professional
Beauty Innovator Award 2013 of A-Saloon.
The photo contest has once again received an overwhelming response
with entrants from all over Malaysia. This year, 10 entries were shortlisted as
the semi-finalists from two sessions of judging. All the artworks of the semi‐finalists
were displayed for all to admire.

The Top 5 Finalists were revealed while a number of subsidiary
awards were also given out to artworks including Shiseido Best Makeup Award,
Female Choice Award, Estetica Asia Choice Award, Shiseido Professional Online
Popularity Award and Hair For You For Me Choice Award.
This year Shiseido Professional introduced the People’s Choice Award subsidiary title
which will be determined by the SMS votes by the audiences at the Beauty
Innovator Award 2014 Finale. Calven Yeo witnessed by about 1,000 audiences won
the People’s Choice Award Top.

Followed by the outstanding hair showcase Shiseido Professional
Beauty Creative Team comprises of Lois Lee, Eric Koh and Elvin Soh. Audiences
were then awed by the highlight of the night, which is the performance by the
Shiseido Top Beauty and Hair Specialist, Mr. Tadashi Harada.
