Style stands united with
the new adidas Originals Spring / Summer 2013 collection to celebrate originality
across the globe while expressing individuality in ‘unite all originals’.
The collection is designed with understated
styling and quality tailoring in mind, innovating classics with modern
character - which can be seen in this seasons’ highlight that features a classic
throwback with a hint of contemporary street edge in the adidas ZX range.
The authentic '80s running shoe still leads
the pack with a modern-day kick combining textile and suede in the upper, and a
breathable mesh lining and cushioning in the tongue, collar and heel. Even
before Jesse Owens wore Adi Dassler’s spikes in the ‘30s, technical and
material developments have been at the core of adidas’ running shoe DNA.
Innovations such as the ZX heel counter had
just as much impact on street style as it did on the track, especially in the
‘90s. There are echoes of that era throughout the Originals Spring / Summer 2013,
particularly in the adidas ZX700 and ZX750 range, with bright neon and block
colours showing up across iconic silhouettes. Running influences are also
spotted on accessories and apparel such as the Colorado windbreaker, kept
modern with updated fit and subtle materials.
An iconic symbol in street and urban

With the call to ‘unite all originals’ this Spring/Summer – fans and street
enthusiasts the world over can hear the call in a 90-second hero film, created
in collaboration with DJ / producer A-Trak and director & visual artist SoMe,
which creatively showcases the unique pieces found throughout the collection
and represents the true meaning of ‘celebrate originality’ and ‘unite all
originals’.
The ZX700 and ZX750 retails at RM340 and
