Avast, the renowned Czech Republic I.T. security vendor official entrance into the Malaysian market last November. Last wednessday event was to celebrate the launch of its new and improved version 7 with more than 200 bloggers, local celebrities, media members and partners at Kuala Lumpur.

In conjunction with the celebration, Avast official distributor, APAC Venture Sdn Bhd, also announced its collaboration with China's largest internet service provider, Tencent, in the launch of its social app WeChat in Malaysia.

What is WeChat?

WeChat (HQ in ShenZhen, China) a leading free mobile platform developed by Tencent. It is a Social / Chatting App something like Whatsapp or Talkbox. WeChat has hit the 100 million users mark as at March 2012.
